From the Lobby, click New Panel to begin a new jury selection. Choose a case template (if your admin has configured them) or start from scratch. You can:
After creating a case, the Panel Editor opens — a full-screen spreadsheet where you can enter, edit, and review juror data before starting voir dire.
Cases currently in progress are listed under the Active tab. Clicking a case card will take you directly into the seating chart for that trial. Cases you created appear under "Yours"; cases shared by co-counsel appear under "Shared."
Once a jury is sworn in and the trial is marked complete, the case moves to the Completed tab for historical record and export. Creators and admins can also archive trials to move them out of the main list, or delete them permanently.
Administrators can access the Command Center to manage user accounts, courtroom presets, global case records, audit logs, and system-wide settings (registration codes, display defaults, trial rules).
When jury selection is finished:
All changes sync instantly across every team member's screen:
Ensure the Case Name, Case Number, Judge, Charges, and Date are accurate. This information appears in the courtroom header, syncs across all co-counsel devices, and is used for official PDF exports.
Pick a Room Number from the Room dropdown. Each room in your courthouse has a saved preset that loads a common configuration for that courtroom — gallery dimensions, aisles, and any standard quirks. Most of the time you'll just tweak the preset from there.
If your courtroom isn't listed, or you want to build a layout from scratch, choose — Custom — at the top of the dropdown. Once the layout matches the room, click My Layouts → Save as Custom Layout at the bottom of the mini-map to save it for future cases. You can share saved layouts with other users via My Layouts → Manage Saved Layouts.
Think of the mini-map as a top-down view of the gallery as you face it. The "front" of the gallery is at the bottom of the mini-map (closest to the judge/counsel tables). Each tile is a seat. Each block of tiles is a section, separated by aisles. The numbers on the tiles are the exact order jurors will be placed when you Auto-Fill.
The Fill Order dropdown sets how seat numbers flow globally:
If jurors will be seated in the jury box rather than the main gallery, represent the box as its own section. Add a section and size it to match the actual box — typically 2 rows, 7 seats in back and 6 in front. Rename it "Jury Box" and right-click any unused tiles to disable them.
Set the Jury Size (6 for misdemeanor, 12 for felony), the number of alternates, and peremptory strikes per side. The app uses these values to calculate the "Strike Panel" (Amber) — the group of jurors currently subject to peremptory challenges.
Walk the seat numbers 1, 2, 3... in the mini-map and confirm jurors will land where you want them. Nothing is saved to jurors until you Auto-Fill — you can iterate freely. Moving jurors in and out of seats never deletes any data.
Use the + / − controls to resize tile cards. Separate zoom controls exist for the courtroom map and the pool tiles. Your zoom level is saved between sessions.
Move jurors from the pool into their assigned seats:
Panel Preview highlights the jurors "in the box" with an amber glow based on jury size and alternates. This is the Strike Panel — the group of jurors currently subject to peremptory challenges. When a juror is struck, the next available juror automatically shifts into the strike zone — no manual re-seating needed.
When Strike Mode is active (keyboard shortcut: S), clicking a juror opens the strike action where you choose State or Defense. The app will:
Entering Strike Mode also auto-opens the Strategy Center to the Strike Tracker tab and activates Panel Preview.
Mark jurors as Favorable (+) or Unfavorable (−) during questioning. Ratings sync instantly to all co-counsel and appear as colored banners on juror tiles.
Flag jurors for Criminal History or Law Enforcement ties. Flags appear as colored indicators on their tile and are tracked in stats. Flags can also auto-detect based on juror data — if a juror has content in the Criminal History or LE Connection fields, the flag appears automatically unless you explicitly unflag them.
An immersive, fullscreen view optimized for active voir dire. When Trial Mode is engaged:
Open the Strategy Center (lightbulb) from the toolbar or press M. Pin the drawer open so it stays visible alongside the courtroom map. The center has three tabs:
A professional rich-text editor for collective strategy notes. Any updates made here are synced instantly to all co-counsel. This notebook is included in the official trial export.
A chronological list of all peremptory strikes made by both the State and the Defense. It maintains a running count against your total allowed strikes and warns you when strikes are exhausted. Use the Clear All button to reset strikes if needed.
A private, real-time communication channel designed for sensitive strategy discussions during the selection process. Open with C or the forum toolbar button.
